And yet, the UK-wide Campaign for the Arts’ The State of the Arts report in July 2024 showed that core government funding for ACNI has been slashed by fully two-thirds since 2009–10. Had the Arts Council’s 2014–15 budget of £14.1 (€16.6) million kept pace with inflation it would now be £19.6 (€23) million. The allocation for 2025–26 is £13.97 (€16.4) million.
