Campaigners have hailed a ‘remarkable turnaround’ after it was announced two arts centres in the Royal Borough will now receive funding in the council’s 2022/23 budget.
A petition by the Public Campaign for the Arts gathered nearly 5,000 signatures, while Maidenhead MP Theresa May and celebrities including Russell Brand also voiced support for Norden Farm.
Jane Corry, chief executive of Norden Farm, added: “We’ve been so moved by the swell of support we’ve had from so many Maidonians. We’re also so grateful to Public Campaign for the Arts who have galvanised such national support for the arts.”
