The Scottish government cutting £6.6 million from the funding of Creative Scotland risks “pushing the arts further out of reach of the majority,” campaigners warned today.

Earlier plans by the SNP-Green coalition to cut the amount were abandoned in February following pressure from more than 15,000 Campaign for the Arts supporters.

But the 10 per cent cut has now been confirmed as part of the government’s autumn budget revisions.
