UK-wide grassroots group Campaign for the Arts is encouraging members of the public to sign and share a petition it has set up against the cut, and is urging members of the Scottish Parliament to oppose it.

Jack Gamble, director of the Campaign for the Arts, said: “The Scottish government’s plan to cut Creative Scotland is a short-sighted move that will cause long-lasting and potentially irreversible damage.”
