The Public Campaign for the Arts manages its finances in accordance with policies and procedures approved by its Board. We do not exist to generate a profit. We plan to match our expenditure with our income whilst maintaining a reasonable level of reserves to ensure that we are able to respond to opportunities and adapt should we face adverse events.
The Public Campaign for the Arts is registered as a private not-for-profit company limited by guarantee (Company Registration Number 12715926). This means we are not constrained in our campaigning by the statutory regulation which applies to registered charities. We do, however, operate under governance structures typical of charitable companies; we don’t have shareholders, and our Director reports to the PCA Board, which is comprised of unpaid volunteers who govern the organisation on behalf of our supporters. Unfortunately, we are unable to claim Gift Aid on donations.
