Jack Gamble, Campaign for the Arts

Formed from the merger of the National Campaign for the Arts and the Public Campaign for the Arts in 2022, this lobbying organisation – led by Gamble – has emerged as a key voice speaking out for the sector across the past 12 months. The Campaign for the Arts seeks to mobilise audiences, as well as those in the sector, to speak out for the value of culture and in 2023 has been vocal in its opposition to local arts-funding cuts across the UK and the “alarming” loss of creative subjects from secondary schools. The organisation is also behind the Arts Index, which tracks the health of the sector.
