A survey of 96 theatre organisations including the National, Nottingham Playhouse and Shakespeare’s Globe has highlighted the importance of freelancers to the sector, with eight out of 10 respondents saying they will be essential to their recovery.

The survey was conceived by campaign organisations Freelancers Make Theatre Work and the Public Campaign for the Arts, the Freelance Task Force and Fuel Theatre.
