Samuel West on Lockdown Shakespeare

In September, Samuel West featured on the podcast ‘To Be or Not to Be: Lockdown Shakespeare‘ to discuss his experiences of playing Hamlet.

However, West also discussed the threat theatres are currently facing, which has become even more severe with the start of a second lockdown in England last week:

“Britain will be alot less prosperous because we are very good at this stuff [theatre]…does your MP know that you like the theatre? does your MP know that you value some tiny bit of your taxes being spent on your local arts centre?”
